Additional Slots for Passport Processing JSD-2022-03
(For first time issuance, renewal and replacement)
In response to the requests of our kababayans, the Embassy has requested the Department of Foreign Affairs-Office of Consular Affairs (DFA-OCA) to open more appointment slots for passport processing for the next six (6) months, which would allow our kababayans to effectively plan their travel to Wellington.
The DFA-OCA will open additional appointment slots every 3pm New Zealand Time, and we highly encourage our kababayans to check availability during this time. No need to call the Embassy to confirm this.
Please be reminded that the slots are on a “first come, first served basis” and if there are no more slots available, it means that someone else had already booked the slot.
The passport appointment slots are also free and non-transferable. The Embassy hopes that none of our kababayans will hoard them in order to sell them to our other kababayans, which has happened in the previous months. Kindly note that each client or individual is given a unique barcode by the DFA’s Global Online Appointment System (GOAS).
For those who will be successful in booking their passport appointment, but cannot travel to Wellington for any reason, the Embassy is imploring you to cancel your appointment to allow our other kababayans to secure your appointment slot.
If the New Zealand Government will impose further lockdowns in the upcoming months and your appointment would be affected, kindly cancel said appointment and book another through the DFA’s portal.
The DFA-OCA also reminds our kababayans to use a Gmail or Ymail email address to book an appointment on https://www.passport.gov.ph/ to be able to immediately get the appointment code or for non-Gmail or Ymail accounts (e.g. Hotmail, Rocketmail etc.) to check your Spam folder for the appointment code. Do not book your onward ticket (plane/ferry etc.) to Wellington if you have not yet received your confirmation code.
Please be reminded that the requirements for passport renewal could be found on the Embassy’s website and kindly use this as your checklist to ensure that all your documents are in order before coming to the Embassy in Wellington: https://dms.philembassy.org.nz/website/consular/passport/190-passport-application-2021-11-15/file.
The Embassy hopes that this would ease the burden of our kababayans who need to process their passports for various reasons.
Maraming salamat po!
