Embassy Operations Under the New Zealand Governments Red Traffic Light System
Following the pronouncement of New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern that all of New Zealand moves to Red (Traffic Light System) at 11.59pm tonight, the Embassy will remain open but with COVID-19 systemsfor keeping workplaces safe in place.
What this means is that those who have prior bookings with the Embassy will proceed as scheduled, but, we highly encourage you to arrive only 10 minutes beforeyour scheduled appointment to avoid overcrowding at the Embassy’s premises.
Please do not call the Embassy to confirm if your booking is still pushing through, unless you are not allowed to travel outside of your area/region or cannot push through with your appointment in Wellington due to unforeseen circumstances. Alternatively, you may send us an email at: wellington.pe@philembassy.org.nz.
Since the Embassy’s premises could only hold a small number of clients, we are also requesting our kababayans to wait inside their vehicles and to avoid loitering or smoking near the Embassy’s sidewalk. This comes as our neighbors have already reported and can always report the Embassy to the Wellington City Council, especially during Red.
Walk-ins are strictly prohibited. We do not encourage you to travel if you do not have a prior booking with the Embassy especially during this time.
For those with appointments coming to the Embassy, please have your COVID vaccination pass ready for scanning or your negative PCR test result if you are not yet vaccinated, keep your mask on at all times and practice social distancing.
