Overseas Voters Registered in Other Posts
The COMELEC has issued Resolution No. 10509 allowing Filipinos who are active overseas voters (OVs) to vote for the 2019 National and Local Elections at the nearest Foreign Service Post or FSP, i.e., Philippine embassy / consulate general / consulate, other than those where they registered.
As such, Filipino OVs currently residing and working in New Zealand, Cook Islands, Fiji, Samoa, and Tonga who were registered through other FSPs may now cast their ballots at the Philippine Embassy in Wellington. The procedure is as follows:
a. Send scanned copies of the following to the Embassy via electronic mail (email) at ov.wellington@philembassy.org.nz.
- duly-accomplished Manifestation of Intent to Vote (Annex “A”); and
- data page of valid passport or Identification Certificate (IC) if applicant is a Dual Citizen.
b. Once received, the Embassy will forward your request to the Commission on Elections Office for Overseas Voting (COMELEC-OFOV) for verification of whether or not you are an active voter. If confirmed, COMELEC-OFOV shall authorize the Embassy to allow you to vote.
c. You will be issued a ballot through the address you indicated in your Manifestation of Intention to Vote.
