The Philippine Embassy in New Zealand joins in the celebration of the “Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino” from 25 to 31 July 2024. By virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 933 (s. 2014), declares the last week of July of every year as “Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino” in order to promote original Pilipino music increase the Filipino audiences' appreciation of homegrown music. The proclamation also reiterates Executive Order 255 (s.1987) which requires playing of four OPM songs per clock hour for radio programs with music format.
