Great Christmas Fellowship with the #UniversityOfThePhilippines Alumni Association - Wellington. As our guest speaker we had Aucklander Ms. Alliv Samson, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Kami, the fastest growing company in New Zealand. The young Filipina-Kiwi shared her company's success story, a firm which provides an IT platform for teachers, with a huge client base in US schools. Her story shares parallels with another great Filipina success - Filipina-Aussie Melanie Perkins and her firm Canva. Interestingly, Canva and Kami are IT companies, and Alliv and Melanie are the lone Filipinos in their respective firms. Filipinos should therefore not limit themselves to partnering with only fellow Filipinos with regard to their business ventures.
