The teaching adventure of Mr. Howard Young who had a three week immersion in Philippine schools as a recipient of an Asia:NZ/AFS Educator Scholarship in 2010 comes alive in this heart-warming article he wrote and was published in the February 2011 edition of the Education Gazette. His valuable insights and perspectives on the meaningful experiences and fulfilling engagement with Filipino families, students, teachers and people speak volumes of the strong connections and sustained educational linkages he made in the Philippines. He is now a Deputy Principal of the South Wellington Intermediate School.
