The Embassy greatly appreciates the support of our kababayans and friends who have answered the Embassy’s call to assist those in need of food, shelter and other support.

To our dear Volunteers, thank you very much for answering the Embassy's call for volunteer support, especially those who have filled out the VAMBA Form (we will contact you through the email addresses you provided). Many of you have already given emergency assistance, including #FoodAid, accommodations, funds, etc. The Embassy would like now to ask you to refer our kababayans in need to New Zealand organizations providing support listed below. It will be more efficient and safer to refer clients to the resources listed, which will be updated regularly.

If you need assistance with obtaining food, the Embassy likewise recommends that you visit foodbanks, which are still operating throughout the regions. As with all services, they would appreciate that you call them first. Most will drop parcels off for you as some of the said services cater to a wide area. Please let them know if you have any allergies. Always remember that they are staffed mainly by volunteers so please be kind.
