Travellers are requiered to do the following:

  1. Fill out the electronic Customs Baggage Declaration Form (e-CBDF) and, as applicable, the electronic Currencies Declaration Form (e-CDF).
  2. Save the QR code that is generated after each form is successfully filled out. If a traveller fills out both forms, only 1 QR code is generated.
  3. Upon entering or departing from the Philippines, present the QR code along with their passports to the Immigration Officer for e-Travel registration confirmation and to the Customs Officer for clearance.
  4. The forms must be accompanied within 72 hours of arrival in or departure from the Philippines.

The e-CBDF and e-CDF may be downloaded from the e-Travel website at https://etravel.gov.ph or by downloading the eGOVPH app.

The e-CBDF must be filled out by all arriving passengers, while the e-CDF is filled out by arriving and departing passengers who are bringing-in into or taking out local and/or foreign currencies beyond the allowed threshold.

Please note the rules on cross-border transfer of currencies, particularly the following:

a. Any per son who brings into or takes out of the Philippine foreign currency in excess of USD 10,000 or its equivalent is required to declare the whole amount in the e-CDF.

b. For the Philippine currency, a person may bring into or take out of the Philippines an amount not exceeding PHP 50,000.00. Amounts in excess of the limit shall require:

b.1 prior written authorization from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP); and
b.2 declaration of the whole amount.

Cross-border transfer of local currency in excess of the limit may be allowed only for the following purposes: (a) Testing/calibration/configuration of money counting/sorting machines; (b) Numismatics (collection of currency); and (c) Currency awareness.

VIOLATION OF THE RULES ON CROSS-BORDER TRANSFER OF CURRENCIES OR FALSE DECLARATION OR NON-DECLARATION OF PHILIPPINE OR FOREIGN CURRENCIES SHALL RESULT TO CONFISCATION BY CUSTOMS AUTHORITIES.
