Through this partnership, the suspect Julie Pearl Robejes, aka Julie Pearl Buaquina De Los Santos, was deported to the Philippines to face the full force of Philippine law. This signals a strong commitment by both the Philippines and New Zealand in combatting trafficking, and heralds the possibility of continued collaboration under the Philippines-New Zealand Comprehensive Partnership.
